The Jack Lovelock story

As a former rector of Timaru Boys’ High School—Lovelock’s old school—O’Sullivan has played a central role in preserving and presenting Lovelock’s legacy. He has overseen the school’s collection of Lovelock memorabilia, including trophies, medals, diaries, photographs, and personal items donated by Lovelock’s family.

Kevin O’Sullivan is one of New Zealand’s key contemporary custodians and interpreters of the Jack Lovelock story, with a multi‑layered association that spans scholarship, curation, and public commemoration.
