Welcome to 2019
The first meeting of 2019 will be held on Thursday 24 January 2019.

From the President

To my Fellow Rotarians,

Welcome to 2019 and I hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year with family and or friends.

It is hard to believe the first six months of the Rotary year have passed already. I am sure the next six months will go just as quickly. Our first meeting of the New Year is 24th January and I hope we start with a good showing of members attending our tradition BBQ. Attire is casual so come along and share your summer holiday tales.

Welcome Katherine Ruth Howan

Jacob and Emma welcomed the arrival of Katherine Ruth Howan (Kate) on Saturday 12 January - 12 days overdue so a 'well cooked' 9lb 9 oz! They're all doing well and enjoying the start to life as a family of three..

Next club leaders.

I would like congratulate and thank Shirley Keenan and Rod Sparrow on both stepping up and taking the baton for leading our club though 19/20 year and 20/21 year.  I know we all will be there supporting them on their journey.

Guest Speakers

Roy Carter is picking up as Speaker Coordinator after Reese Hart. Will every chariman please advise Roy of each speaker they have organised well in advance, stating name, topic and background so he can ensure all gaps are filled without any panic, and published on website and bulletin.

Hadlow to Harbour... We need your help again
The Hadlow to Harbour (H2H) Fun Run & Walk is scheduled for Sunday 3 March, 2019.
The Hadlow 10km event starts @ 9.30am, the Countdown 3km event starts @ 9.45am
John will be approaching every member to see if you can help on the day? (or even better, you can catch up with John to make his job a little easier!)
If your spouse, partner or other family member can help as well, that would be fabulous.
We have to have 47 people on the route to complete the required traffic management and related tasks, plus another 14 people to be on the water stations, plus at least 10 more Rotary members helping at the Caroline Bay bus & sales, at the two start areas & sales desks, and at the Caroline Bay finish area.
Many hands make light work of this big task.
Please check your diary so you know about your availability when asked. If you have any queries, contact our busy Rotary Club H2H organisers: Noel Crawford, 027 317 2141 or 686 1717, John Keenan 027 292 5267 or 684 7758 AH, Email: keenanj.s93@gmail.com
