From the meeting that wasn't - of 19 August 2021.

Carol Jean Crawford.
Members will be aware our colleague Selwyn recently lost Carol. The following words have been kindly provided Barry Payne.

It is with sadness that we note the passing of one of our members wives. We would like to pay tribute to Carol Jean, wife of Selwyn Crawford. They were married for 48 years and have three children and 8 grandchildren. We are all unique characters, but Carol Jean was a little more unique than most of us. She was a conservative, and a royalist with a fondness for good manners. A musician, a scholar, a traveller, and an art lover. Carol Jean loved having visitors and was an exceptional host. She loved intelligent conversation and was always ready to learn more about the world. She was always Carol Jean, never just Carol.

A life well lived!

Our thoughts are with you and your extended family, Selwyn.

So we're in lock down - again... and here's what we missed this week.

Drinks and dinner.

Robin Hood and his mate fining us...

A guest speaker.

But we will be back... when Cindy allows.

Next meeting is 26 August 2021 - watch your emails.

And finally some jokes to keep you going in lock down.
Why do we tell actors to “break a leg?” Because every play has a cast!
Two men meet on opposite sides of a river. One shouts to the other, "I need you to help me get to the other side!" The other guy replies, "You're on the other side!"
And God said to John, "Come forth and you shall be granted eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.
I was wondering why the ball was getting bigger, ... then it hit me.
I told my physical therapist that I broke my arm in two places. He told me to stop going to those places.

Stay safe.
